TREE
PLANTING
We are very excited as we are awaiting our first delivery of small trees from the Woodland Trust, which we will be planting around the edge of the playing field, after consultation with the Parish Council and the Playing Field Development Committee. This first tranche is a small selection of silver birch, rowan and wild cherry. We hope in the future to plant more trees in our communal spaces, but we also encourage people to do what they can in their own gardens.

SWAP SHOPS
We have had one swap shop for children’s clothes and toys which we held in the village hall and combined with a community café where tea, coffee, soft drinks and cake were available. It was a popular event and we hope to hold others where seeds, seedlings, plants and excess produce are exchanged, adults’ clothes, books etc. Not only is it a good opportunity to find a new home for things you don’t want, and to find things that perhaps you do, it’s also a great chance to get together with your neighbours – and with no mileage!
